Here’s the first look at a rough pencil from a new series of All-Star Comics illustrations I’m working on for a show in the fall.

The show will ultimately consist of a mock comic book cross-over event in which a made-up pantheon of comic book characters that I create, will cross over with a group of heroes created and drawn by Gabriel Endres.

We’re lookin’ to shake up the Madison art scene by making some serious artwork that actually has some life and vigor. Something you can tell we actually enjoyed making. Hopefully, by using the language of comic book art, and playing with conventions of the comic book industry, we can create a complete artistic event that artists, illustrators, designers, comic book fans, and average joes can appreciate.
