Here’s a little web flier I whipped up for a band I’ve been working with, Archie Powell and the Exports. Oh yeah, and I play keys for the band too. So check us out on myspace . Here is my latest batch of work featured in the Advanced Painting Workshop exhibition as part of Gallery Night in Madison last Friday. Thanks to everyone who came out. I’ve been getting overwhelmingly positive feedback so its good to know I’m creating something that people are responding to. Unique Screen Prints

With this series, I decided to combine screen printing with other media in order to produce a number of unique peices that used the same image in different ways. To make them, I essentially just screened a bunch of images of the lone ranger and various animals pulled from an old coloring book. I then went back in with marker, ink, watercolor and gouache to put our hero in silly situations. Overall I think this was one of the most satisfying projects and I’m glad to add screenprints to my arsenal. More prints on the way!

I decided it was time to update the design of the blog a little bit. I got sick of looking at all the dark black and orange stuff and wanted to brighten it up a bit. I think my galleries are due for an overhaul as well so stay tuned.

After a long break to actually get some more work done, I’m finally going to get back to posting on the blog. Above is a poster I designed for the advanced painting workshop exhibition. The three paintings I made for the exhibition have been added to the Painting Gallery.

Greenside Propaganda Posters

Madison film maker Eric Lim has gotten a lot of internet buzz lately for Zero Trooper F and his upcoming project, Greenside. I have been fortunate enough to work on some design that will appear on screen in the form of propaganda posters for the fictional police state of Greenside. These designs which feature images of the Zero Troopers themselves as well as the dome which encloses Greenside city were heavily inspired by the designs posters of Shepard Fairey as well as Communist propaganda.
